The whole kitchen is brought together with the clever use of materials and colour pallets. The use of contrasting shades in colour on the island unit and main cabinets are set off by the stunning Blanco Norte silestone worktop. The overmantle, again in a subtle contrasting colour frames the Falcon cooker and a block colour glass splash back finishes the look. This clever scheme all helps to create a light, fresh, airy but contemporary feel.

The same style of design was applied to the utility room off the main kitchen. A further under-mount sink and dishwasher are housed in the same plinth-less cabinet design. A large utility cupboard is hand painted in a contrasting colour and solid oak floating shelves sit between the utility cupboard and wall cabinet.

The Bi-fold cabinet covering the worktop in the corner is home to a number of small appliances. This section of worktop can be quickly and easily accessed then when it’s time the doors can be closed and all is concealed in seconds.
Culshaw kitchens have a choice of interiors for their cabinets. Clients can choose from Oak, Maple and Black walnut.

Within a Culshaw kitchen all the interiors detail is completely designed around the client’s specification.
Larder cabinets a speciality of Culshaw’s are designed to store large amounts of packets, tins, rice, pasta flour and all the bulky ingredients that don’t need to be refrigerated.

Within this kitchen the microwave in concealed in the bi-fold cabinet. In other designs the microwave has been concealed within the larder.
Another popular advancement for the larder cabinet is keeping the toaster on the cold shelf, an area designed to keep butter, cheese and wine at room temperature prior to being enjoyed.

All the drawer inserts pull-outs and shelving is detailed individually designed to house each client’s unique collection of kitchen equipment.

Thoughtful Ergonomics

The food preparation sink sited on the Island, close to the fridge creates a second smaller working cycle for food preparation.
Vegetables from the crisper drawers in the fridge can be washed, peeled and chopped, with everything close to hand, chopping boards and compost bin for peelings. Pots and pans are close by along with water for filling and cooking with the range just a turn away.
